Butterfly Release

Well, after two weeks of growing caterpillars, watching them cocoon and survive the 7 year old traipsing around the house with their habitat daily, we finally released our Monarch butterflies, all 9 of them! For the last week, they lived in their netted cage in the house. It was so much fun for the kids as they came to us tiny in their containers and we enjoyed watching them grow and "morph".

The exciting part for me is that after 5 hours, I still see three of them fluttering around. They love our garden and I hope they stick around so we can spot them from time to time!

And, I'll share more random shots of the garden:

My copper fire pit "morphed" to a bubbly fountain

And I'm so pleased to introduce:

Renee's Garden Nasturtiums
is a success! My first attempt at them
from seed in the garden. Such a delight!

Happy Father's Day!

Lovely images. I hope your butterflies stick close by too, so we can see them again.
