This week in the garden

the bees love my Hebe...

Chrysanthemum

6" dahlias...so sweet!

The weather in Northern California has
been off the hook. Everything is slow growing
for the spring.

So, I will unveil the new garden in a few weeks.
I needed to kill the grass and find a way to
do it without chemicals.

After some research, I decided to "go green"
and gather all the brown grocery bags I could,
with a little help from my neighbor, I
cut them apart and laid garden soil (some 30 bags).
The guys at OSH on one of my final trips said,
"WHAT are you doing?" I explained while he shook
his head. There has been a lot of male head shaking
going on lately. But, it's beautiful and growing.

Pics to come.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog! You can get that variegated Abutilon at Summer Winds in small pots. Love your garden and your lights, and glad to find your blog; your daughter takes wonderful pictures!

Beautiful pictures, I think with a colder, rainy southern winter, it is going to be a good summer for flowers. I have my first Morning Glories this week.
